Franz Rodenkirchen

What Is It More Than Anything Else? - Script Development and Constructive Feedback by Franz Rodenkirchen

When we allow others to read our scripts, we hope to receive feedback that will be given with a genuine desire to help, in a respectful way that acknowledges that we are in a constant process of development. Be it in a group or in an individual consulting situation, it is never helpful to simply give opinions, especially if they contain taste judgments and/or assumptions about "how a script should be". Rather we might use our reading experience to try and understand what and how this particular script in question (and its writer) want to communicate with us. This lecture aims to prepare everyone involved for a shared process of mutual support, so that we can all benefit as much as possible from this opportunity.
