The process of making a film can sometimes take a number of years and a key component in the process lies in the relationship between the director and producer. We invite writer/ director Martika Escobar Ramirez and producer Monster Jimenez, to examine and explore the journey of their relationship in the making of the highly acclaimed debut, “Leonor Will Never Die”. We will dive into the dynamics of how to meet the expectations of each other's roles and how fluid and dynamic that relationship could be, or not be, for the partnership and the journey of making the film and getting it out there. And how the relationship may be evolving with their collaboration of the second film, “Daughter of the Sea”.
