LOGLINE
In a town surrounded by limestone hills, where modernity and tradition coexist uncomfortably, everything is changing fast as HOWE approaches adulthood - friends, family, home; even the mountains. As he drifts between city and countryside, an imminent death causes him to question his ideals.

Lim Han Loong
Director & Scriptwriter

Han Loong has directed short films, documentaries, TV commercials, music videos, experimental videos since 2012. His short The Way We Love has selected as finalist of Astro New Director Award 2014, recognised as ASEAN TOP 10 in SKT Short Film Competition. His work Trip to the Wound received the highest distinction award in Best Story Script Writing Competition 2018. His recent work Family Dinner won the Grand Prize of MM2 Movie Makers Competition 2020. Han Loong is alumni of Next New Wave Young Filmmaker Workshop (Directing). He involved as Festival Manager in SeaShorts Film Festival and executed Malaysian Chinese film magazine WuBen.

Chua Jing Xuan
Producer

Chua Jing Xuan (1996, Malaysia) studied Media Studies at University of Malaya, Malaysia and spent one semester at Dongseo University, South Korea to study Film and Video. She has produced and directed several short films since university. In 2020, she joined Da Huang Pictures as Assistant Producer and participated in producing Tan Chui Mui's feature film, Barbarian Invasion. In 2021, she joined SeaShorts Film Festival as Festival Coordinator. She is currently producing Malaysia new director, Lim Han Loong's first feature, Maybe Today, If Not Today, Maybe Tomorrow and co-producing Jacky Yeap's second feature, A Good Bad Guy.
