Duong Dieu Linh is a Vietnamese filmmaker who takes special interest in the unconventional depiction of sad, angsty and naggy middle-aged women. Linh previously attended Berlinale Talents in 2020, Asian Film Academy in 2016, Locarno Summer Academy and Bucheon Fantastic Film School in 2015. Her debut feature, Don’t Cry, Butterfly, participated in Full Circle Lab, Less Is More, Locarno Open Doors Hub, Attagirl, and most recently Hong Kong-Asia Financing Forum (HAF) where it won both the Udine Focus Asia and Wouter Barendretch Award. The film is also supported by the Singapore Film Commission, Purin Pictures and Visions Sud Est.
